CLARK COUNTY FISH & GAME CLUB, INC. BOARD MINUTES

| Monday, October 12th, 2009 | The monthly meeting of the Clark County Fish & Game Club was conducted on October 12, 2009. Nine members of the Board of Directors were present and listed as absent were Joe Carrier, Larry Disney and Charles "Buddy" Rogers. The meeting was called to order at 7:46 pm. by Gene Mosley, Vice President/General Secretary. Mosley was substituting for Joe Carrier, President of the Club. The minutes for the previous monthly meeting that was conducted September 14, 2009 were reviewed and approved on a motion by Earl "Chic" Chism and seconded by Walter Newell. The motion was approved
The Treasurer's Report was presented by Bradley Wall, The official Treasurer for the Club. The report indicated that the Club had a bank balance of 10,994.79 as of 9-30-2009. Mosley presented a motion to accept the report as presented and the second came from Earl Chism. The motion carried.
New information was presented during New Business to address potential problems at the Hume Farm and the Estill County property. With this in mind, Don Parker and William Thiry had met and developed new signs to be posted. Allen Howard presented the motion to accept the new changes that would be posted in the form of signs and Joe Young presented a second to the motion and it carried.
Joe Carrier left a report to be read at the meeting: All three barns have been painted and repaired. The Hay has been cut for a second time at the Estill County Farm. A bid of $11,000.00 dollars was awarded to Jerome Griggs to install a dual ceptic system for the house located at 585 Thornburg/Bend Road. President Joe Carrier also reported that a bid for $900.00 was awarded to Gary Sorrell for Road Work at the Estill County Farm. This bid did not include any rock that may be required to complete the task at hand. The two bids that were awarded to Jerome Griggs and Gary Sorrell were approved on a motion by Walter Newell and seconded by Larry Disney.
President Joe Carrier also reported that the first recommendation by the State Biologist to spray the Johnson Grass to kill it out has been done. He also requested for a visit to the Estill County Farm to be scheduled for October 22, 2009. The purpose of the visit would be the location of any shooting ranges. The visit was concluded on the date asked for by Joe Carrier.
Also, under NEW BUSINESS: Gene Mosley was assigned the task of meeting with the Boy Scout Troop 22 to discuss a proposed camp out on the lake property: The purpose of the meeting would be two fold, whose insurance policy would be held responsible for any injuries incurred. The outdoor camp out was cancelled due to a lack of proper supervision.
Mosley reported that the urinal in the men's restroom was not in working order and a plumber should address the problem
A motion to adjourn was presented by allen Howard and seconded by Don Parker. Motion carried at 8:45 pm. |
